David Brixton is the award-winning editor and Managing Partner of Whitehouse Post, a world-class editorial company with offices in London, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. In 1995 the UK-born Brixton relocated to the United States as one of three founding partners of The Lookinglass Company in Chicago. He moved further West to the Los Angeles outpost in 1998, where he was instrumental in merging Lookinglass with the London-based Whitehouse Post in 2001. Brixton took over as Managing Partner of Whitehouse Post in 2005.
During Brixton’s esteemed editorial career he has edited commercials, television shows, feature and documentary films, and music videos, collaborating with top directors such as Baker Smith, Matt Aselton, Aaron Stoller, and Stephen Hopkins (Californication). Brixton has worked with A-list advertising agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Erickson, Wieden + Kennedy, and JWT; and for global brands like Nike, Cadillac, T-Mobile, Discover Card, and Hewlett Packard. Recognized as one of the top artists in his field, Brixton’s work has been honored by numerous awards shows, including Clios, D&AD, and Cannes.
In addition to running one of the top international post companies, David has been instrumental in the development and growth of three exceptional like-minded companies spanning production (Cap Gun Collective), visual effects (Carbon), and motion graphics (Gentleman Scholar) as part of the “One Roof” philosophy. Today, Cap Gun Collective can be found in the Whitehouse Post Chicago and Los Angeles offices; Carbon in the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles offices; and Gentleman Scholar in New York and Los Angeles.
