Horacio “Chacho” Puebla is originally from Mendoza, Argentina, where he began his career. After working for five years and founding the local chapter of the Creative Circle, he went to work in Santiago, Chile, just on the other side of the Andes mountains, where he began his international trajectory and gained valuable experience in handling global, national and regional Latin American accounts. In 2005, he was asked to join Leo Burnett Lisbon and was promoted to Executive Creative Director after just two years. Together with Managing Director, Miguel Simoes, Chacho raised the agency 10 places in the overall agency ranking of the Gunn Report while generating new business and building creative reputation.
Under his creative direction, Leo Burnett Lisbon was among the most creative agencies in the Burnett network, which has over 95 offices, and reached the Top 5 worldwide, according to Advertising Age. In 2009 the agency was named the best Ibero-American agency in the Ojo Iberoamerica Festival. Chacho was also recognized as Portugal´s best creative director and the agency, best in Portugal for three consecutive years.
In September of 2009, he was named Executive Creative Director of Leo Burnett Iberia (Spain and Portugal) and took on his biggest challenge to date by creating one consolidated agency with the same vision, by uniting the Lisbon and Madrid offices. At the start of 2010, Chacho was asked to be part of the worldwide creative board of Leo Burnett, and in 2011, he was named Creative Director of Western Continental Europe. He held this position briefly until he was hired away by Lowe and Partners Worldwide, as partner and Executive Creative Director of LOLA/Lowe in Madrid, handling global accounts for Unilever.
After just under three years at the helm, LOLA/Lowe doubled its business portfolio and grew to open new offices in Barcelona and Lisbon. In 2014 Chacho was recognized as creative director of the year in Spain by a leading national publication and was named one of the year´s most fascinating professionals by the Spanish marketing press. In 2014 LOLA was named Agency of the Year at the prestigious El Sol Iberoamerican Festival. In the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival, LOLA was the most awarded agency in Spain, 4th in the EMEA region and 17th in the world. Chacho was also recognized as the 7th best creative director worldwide. In addition, LOLA is the first agency in the Lowe network to enter the top 20 agency ranking in Cannes, making LOLA the best agency in the network. In 2015 Chacho was selected to represent Spain on the prestigious Cannes Lions Radio jury.
Throughout his career, Chacho has won over 300 awards in creative festivals, including 41 lions in Cannes.
