Ashley Bernes is a Creative Director at MPC’s New York studio. A 13-year veteran of MPC, he arrived in New York to help open the company’s east coast office in 2011.

Joining MPC London in 2006 as FX Technical Director, Ashley very quickly became CG and VFX Supervisor collaborating with top-tier directors such as Jonathan Glazer, Noam Murro, John Hillcoat, Baillie Walsh, Lance Acord, Joe Pytka, Speck and Gordon and Phil Joanou.

He has been Creative Director on some of the studio’s most high-profile projects, partnering with Bruno Aveillan for Samsung’s “Billion Colors” film, a Creativity Editor’s Pick, as well as both launch films for Tiffany’s “Believe in Dreams” campaign alongside Francis Lawrence and Mark Romanek.

Other projects in his portfolio include work for Mercedes, Playstation, Gillette, Kohl’s, IBM, Macy’s and Sony’s “Paint”, which won a Gold Lion at Cannes. He has also directed campaigns at MPC including Air Wick’s “Pure Colors”, Interactive Brokers “Corrosive”, Kay Jewelers and a film for US Navy’s “Sleep Tight” campaign.

When it comes to his role as Creative Director, Ashley hopes to develop the high-caliber of work coming out of the studio: “I’m looking forward to guiding our team as they continue to produce the very best results for our clients.”
