In the Live Action Section, we have created a Production Design category. This involves the overall look of the film which illustrates the setting and visual style of the story. This includes the design of sets and location choices, amongst others.
To keep up with the fast changing world of Digital, we have added three new digital categories to the festival, Website Design, Social Apps, and Live Experience.
Website Design will give recognition to the best websites and micro sites. Judges will focus on craft; the thought behind the user experience, the beauty of the graphic design, photography, illustration, typography or sound design. To enter, provide the link to the live site, or a URL that will show the judges how the site looked and felt.
The Live Experience category will recognise the best in live interactive experiences; Digital installations, innovative use of projection, multiscreen experiences and other ground-breaking work employing new technologies. To enter, upload an explanatory video.
The Social App category will give credit to Apps designed specifically for Facebook, Instagram, Thumblr or Google+. Judges will focus on craft; the thought behind the interface, the beauty of the graphic design, photography, illustration, typography or sound design. To enter, upload a video of the app in action and then provide a web link that includes images of the interface.
In the Specials Section we have the new Titles Sequence award. In this new special category, the jury will evaluate the craft skills of the participants in the creation of Titles Sequences for feature films, shortfilms, opening videos for festivals or exhibitions and games, in any existing technique.
Remember, the deadline for submissions is the 27th of September!
