On November 3 & 4, 2016, the seventh edition of CICLOPE Festival gathered hundreds of professionals of the advertising and audiovisual industries to share fresh idea on the present and future of the moving image, as well as to celebrate the best work of the year.
During the awards ceremony held at Kino International, more than 100 entries were rewarded with Bronze, Silver and Gold trophies, and four won a Grand Prix: “We’re the superhumans” (directed by Dougal Wilson, created by Blink and 4Creative, for Channel 4), “Never alone” (directed by Tubby Brother, created by Stinkfilm and AMVBBDO London for Guinness), “Lou Dalton” (directed by Fred Rowson, created by Colonel Blimp for River Island) and “Gosh” (directed by Romain Gavras, created by Iconoclast Content for Jamie XX). In this edition, the festival received more than 1,000 entries, and the jury panel was chaired by Judy John (Leo Burnett Canada), Patrick Milling Smith (Here Be Dragons), Thomas Benski (Pulse Films), Paul Weston (Colonel Blimp), Christiane Dressler (Anorak) and Lisette Nice (Factory).
